Leyton Orient reserves suffer heavy defeat to Tottenham Hotspur Development side
4:15pm Tuesday 21st February 2012

Jamie Cureton struck twice for the reserves but was still on the losing side as the O’s lost out 7-3 to a Tottenham Development XI at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.
The hosts took an early lead through Cameron Lancaster but Orient were back on level terms shortly after when Cureton tapped in Moses Odubajo’s cross.
Spurs then hit the post before Massimo Luongo restored their lead just before the half-hour.
The O’s response was again immediate and after David Mooney had gone close to an equaliser, Cureton restored parity, thumping home via the underside of the crossbar after good work by Syam Ben Youssef.
It was an impressive display from Orient in the first half but they trailed again shortly after the break as Lancaster headed in before the 19-year-old completed his hat-trick just before the hour.
Lancaster had a fourth after 65 minutes and although Tom Lovelock did well to deny Souleymane Coulibaly, Cristian Ceballos netted with just two minutes to play.
Even with the game drawing to a close, there was still time for two more goals, as first former Orient loanee Simon Dawkins scored a seventh for Tottenham, before youngster Billy Lobjoit added Orient’s third in injury time.
